Yes, 30-90 days is normal. Some even going a bit beyond 90 recently. Short form: there is very little you can do of use and you're better to wait than to stress needlessly (needlessly because very little you can do of use).
GCMS notes is going to take more than 30 days right now - recent seem to be more like 60-90 days. And they are not going to tell you anything of use before AOR. And if your file is returned (due to some omission or mistake) gcms notes will be too late to tell you anything anyway. So I disagree with that suggestion. (Won't hurt, but not much use)
You can try calling to get temporary file number. It won't tell you much - except what the temporary file number is and that they haven't returned it. After that you can try checking by calling, or trying to log in - but in both cases you'd at best find out a day or two before the AOR. (Or alternatively before you get the notification it's been returned).
Its been around 3.5 weeks now since my husband’s passport has been given to VFS erbil. As of tomorrow it will be 2 weeks that Amman is processing for passport but no updates since should I be concerned?

“Your application has been received and is under process at the IRCC Office Amman.”
My phone wont allow me to access the live chat page. I just found out yesterday that due to weather conditions they had a 4 day weekend last week. So they were off from the 26th to 29th

I contacted them and they said the same thing that the passport is being processed and that they would not be able to give estimated time. Guess nothing more but to just to wait.
