Hi all,
My current profession is IT consultant with NOC 2171(2 years) and previously as a Network engineer NOC 2147 (1.5 Years), I have applied as a 0213 NOC with job title IT Manager, as my J.D have got the major responsibilites matching with 0213 duties. Though its in initial stage, but confused that should I rectify this mistake when sending the forms to local CHC (typed wrong job title and NOC).
Also what does this mean "Classified elsewhere".
Any advise plz, my current designation is IT Consultant / Network Engineer on my job card and docs.
Thx!

Well most important role is to prove that you had managerial responsibilities and rest 75 % of your duties should match not word to word but in actual meaning then its fine.
If you have reference letter from your employer proving that you do most of the responsibilities listed for NOC 0213, you will qualify. You also need to make sure when background check happens some one in your organization who signs the letter confirms your responsibilities.
Also I would assume that your current employer will issue you a letter with designation IT consultant and not IT Manager, in that case please rectify your mistake when you send your application to CHC
Also you will get 19 points for your experience and not 21.
I am no expert and my self at initial stage of application, but so far what I have read and experienced you may face some scrutiny as your title and years of experience are not in line with 0213
Rocky & Ankit,
Thx for your valuable comments, I will do get rectification before sending to CHC, will this change can harm me, as CHC can ask why u have change out your title as u have mention something else to CIO?
Should I change my title only or NOC as well ?
2nd what does this mean "Classified elsewhere".
3rd has anyone seen a case of IT consultant is aproved under 0213 category.
Thx!

Just be very careful with 0213 as many people apply under it. See title is not important but duties are. Also if you change anything in the forms you have to write a separate letter informing them about the changes and the reason for changes. Classified elsewhere do not have inforomatino about it. Have seen many people not IT managers as title but getting approval on the basis of duties. Best of luck
