I came to Canada in Dec 2000. I stayed in Canada through out. I applied for a citizenship and I was sworn in on April 26, 2006.
But my Canadian Citizenship card has following details:
My date of birth, sex, height
another date (2004-06) and color of eyes
Can anyone tell from this data what is my date of citizenship?
April 26th 2006 is the day you became a citizen. When I did the oath, they told us to remember the date of the oath because that is the date you became a citizen and it is not listed on the citizenship card. It is however listed on the paper format citizenship certificate you probably also received.
My citizenship card has a date 2008-3 but my oath was August 14th 2008. They said that the date on the card is when it was printed although I would not know why they would have printed yours almost 2 years before you were sworn in.
