Am a new student in Canada, have been here for 2 months , can i apply for permenant resident.

Hi Friends,
I have a friend who landed in Canada like a student 3 months ago. His studies is for 3 years , he wants to apply for permanent resident.
My question is, Can he apply despite the fact that he is new in Canada?

Sure why not if he qualifies and has a high enough score. Being new in Canada not really relevant .

Usual path for students tends to be study, followed by PGWP to get Canadian work experience then apply for PR , takes a few years.

Would need to score around 470 for express entry to apply now.
