My friend is thinking of applying for a student via for canada to do her RN at a canadian universty.
SHe has two young children. If approved for school can she take her kids with her?
can he get work permit while she is in school?
WIll she be able to apply for permanent resident after her RN completion?

Whats RN?
Graduate students can work off campus. I'm not sure about undergrads.
You can take children, show enough funds as mentioned on CIC website.

RN = registered nurse

She can take kids and spouse with her on a student visa. The spouse can apply for an open work permit. Generally students can work on campus without a permit and after 6 months can apply for an off campus permit for up to 20 hours a week during the semester and full time on school holidays. After she graduates, she can apply for a post grad work permit, open work permit for up to 3 years. To apply for PR, she needs to qualify to apply under some immigration class. Probably the best for her would be to work for 1 year and apply under Canadian experience class.

But note that she will have to have proof of funds for 1 years tuition plus $20,000 for 1 years living expenses (2 adults + 2 children)

Apply for student visa,

Hi,
Friend(sri lankan) of mine wants to come to canada as a student, currently he is a 1st yr collage student in London UK under the student visa catogory. he wants to come here in canada, because he thinks its hard to make status in UK as a student.
I would like to know does he has to apply for student visa through CIC office in UK, or does he has to apply through CIC office in sri lanka? please tell me how we have to go through this process.
Does international student can apply for the PR in Canada after 2yrs?
Thank you very much and replys really appreciated.
