The Guide says " place the barcode pages on top of your application ( forms and supporting documents) when you will submit it " does this mean on top of the whole package including cover letters and everything, or do they want it on top of the Applicants forms and supporting documents?
If you fill out the Generic Application Form on your computer and press the "validate" button, it will generate a bar code. If you do, place the bar code page on top of your application. If you fill out the form by hand (with a pen), you can't generate the bar code, and that's perfectly ok.

1. Do we need to submit original birth certificate for the principal applicant?
2. Do we need to submit original transcripts of bachelor and masters degrees in a university sealed envelop?
3. Do we need to submit original reference letters from all of our past employers?
4. If Police certificate is not available at the moment do we need to write an explanation letter and tick the check box in document checklist or just submit the explanation letter without ticking the check box in document checklist?
Let me tell one thing here that I have heard about above 3 questions that we need to submit originals.

Actually, when I applied last year, I was under the impression that all copies should have a certified true copy stamp. But the current checklist does not mention anything about notarizing copies (except for translated documents as you have mentioned)...
Now I'm a little confused.
Copies of documents such as transcripts, passport pages and reference letters should be.. just copies.. no need for certified true copy stamps. If the document is not in English or French, it should be translated by a certified translator then both (the non-English-nor-French copy and the certified translation) should be sent with the application.. no need for true copy stamps whatsoever.. Right?
Our translator said that 'NOTARIZED AFFIDAVIT ORIGINAL from translator' is not how they normaly do it. basically notary has translated himself and put the stamp ' translated from hindi to English' and notarised it. isnt that enough? please suggest..
