You got Pre-arrival letter already? Next step is passport request. The pre-arrival usually has information you will need before travelling to Canada. Congrats again. I'm still waiting. Hopefully our turn will be in the next month or two since we won one month after you.
I’m so happy for you @Ibraruddin! Dec 2020 means 2021 cases are soon to be reopened. Is there anyone with a won appeal from 2019 or first half of 2020? If so, how are you doing?

We just received our Refusal Letter for Outland Spousal Sponsorship. We were provided with instructions to appeal. My question is we are thinking to hire a lawyer to go ahead with rest of the process, do I need to get a lawyer before I send my appeal or I can get help of a lawyer after we have submitted the appeal? Also do I need to mail out the appeal form with refusal letter or email them?
Anyone with experience or going through this process, little guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Can also anyone suggest me a good Immigration appeal lawyer from Vancouver BC?

I'll leave to others to confirm but I believe the form to appeal is rather simple and does not require a lawyer at this stage (IE there are no substantive grounds required to file the appeal so no early need to hire a lawyer.) You can do the whole process without a lawyer as well, up to you, I mean that there should be no significant advantage to hiring a lawyer to file the appeal.
Note there is a whole thread on spousal appeals and members who are going through the process.

Reason they gave us is they do not believe we are a genuine couple. I am thinking to hire a lawyer only because when I read it on the Canadian IAD website they mention having a counsel from our side. So we are not sure if lawyer or consultant is mandatory for the appeal. I think lawyer may help us get our application and evidence more organized and help with practicing for hearing or ADR whatever we receive.

Sorry, my mistake in reading on phone, you were posting in the right forum/thread - ignore that comment.
Lawyer is not mandatory, it still might be a good idea, up to you.
My point was that you probably do not require a lawyer to file the appeal within the 30 days - you are not (I believe) making all the substantive arguments to file the (notice of) appeal, just filling out a form starting the process. So you could file a notice of appeal (whatever it's called) within the 30 days and choose/hire a lawyer later.

Why do they feel your marriage is not genuine? Did you have support documents, family letters, wedding pictures, travel information, communications between both parties? There has to be a reason and you need to find a way to prove them wrong.
Send the appeal letter because you only have a certain amount of time, then you can look into finding a Lawyer or an Immigration Attorney. Once you file for the appeal, they will send you the Blue Book, which will have more details.
sorry to hear but we've all been or going through the same situation. Good luck.
