This is what we feel too, and almost everyday ppl get refused unjustly. My husband lives in amongst ppl who want to end his happiness. When they can't get to him they attack our furbaby cat! He came home bloodied on his face from some kind of weapon, chunk of his fur taken out. We are heartbroken, I am in Canada and not close. Our cat was scared and mad. We are angry and upset. When does this torture end. Never did I ever think, me as a Canadian woman, would get told I cannot be happy and not be able to bring a husband here. I got my cousin attempting to make sme kind of headway. What a gongshow cic is.

I don't think I will bring the cat by himself. I'd rather he fly with my husband. So it's not so scary. He has his shots and a carrier.

I am from the Toronto area, received my appeal record in Oct 2016, I just called IAD and the case manager told me the ETA to get a hearing date is like 2 years after they receive the appeal record, so I probably won't see my appeal happening until 2018 Sep next year. I am really disappointed but what can I do.

I guess my question is for people who recently had a full hearing in Toronto, how long did you wait to get a hearing after you obtain your appeal record.

You did not get an option for ADR? Yes the typical time is 2 years. More waiting

Go to Rabat, Canadian Embassy? They are usually not that welcoming.

Maybe he should go in and wait to speak to the VO or a supervisor, I know embassies are not that welcoming but sometimes it helps, unless it's really far from where he lives. There's no reason why you guys should wait that long unless the application went back to the primary office. Did you try web enquiry to the primary office instead of Ottawa?

My husband got his passport request Monday night. Yay right? So we thought. My husband went to Rabat, followed all instructions in the letter but Rabat doesn't accept it. Saying his visa is in Canada. I tell my husband that Rabat is wrong. So of course our representative is out of office til Tuesday. I phone Cic, my husband or rep has to call not me. They cant send an email to Rabat. They are not allowed. Or send passport to Ottawa from Rabat which will add on what 2 or 3 weeks. Or wait for representative to come back.
Holy crap cic get your acts together. Heading to mp office right now. Let's see Andrew Scheer's assistant can actually help now. As they don't before.

In your "Ready for Visa" e-mail, do the instructions say to send to Ottawa or Rabat? If the instructions have the Rabat office address but the final stages of the visa were processed in Ottawa that's probably why Rabat doesn't want to accept it. Unfortunately MPs are usually of no help, all they can do is contact the visa office in Canada for information, most of the time I asked for their help, they were unable to help in the end.

congrats maryl. .. is there a due of sending your passport? I have seND all updates from last Sept 18 .and I was thinking to go back to my country for holiday on Dec for ten days .and I don't want to miss anything they will requested if they email me when I'm away.

Thank you buy they send incomplete email. The one we shold be getting comes possibly from Rabat. With an appointment date to bring passport. There's no dates.
