Good news everyone. We have received the email Aug 11 for visa in Havana Cuba from IRCC. Our nightmare is nearly over after 3 years as of July 11,2017 and 1 month.

I have had decision made since I received AOR in 2015. So I have no updates in regards to appeal since Jan 24.2017. I was asked to do our 3rd medical Jan 31,2017. And asked for updated forms and police check April 18,2017. We received the email which was dated Aug 10,2017 at 11.38 pm. I opened it Aug 11th He will be in Havana Monday to pick up his visa and hopefully in Canada Aug 23 rd as that is the first flight I can get him To Prince Edward Island.

Thank you so much. I must admit there were times when I thought this day would never come. Now the real journey begins. Unfortunately my Mother did not live long enough to celebrate with us as she passed away June 2,2017. At least my husband will be here hopefully for the celebration of her life Aug 26. I spent the day clearing out dresser draws for his clothes and looking for reasonable priced flights. Finally my procrastination has caught up with me lol. Never realized how much dust has accumulated

Your Mother knew that you found happiness. Bet she was thrilled. I wondered why they dragged this out. I mean really, we already wait the appeal time. We win give us our husband's and our lives back.

So sorry for your loss. This is the kind of thing that VOs and judges and whathaveyous don't see or care about, people who just want to live normal lives but aren't allowed to. I hope your husband makes it to your mother's celebration of life. I'm sure you are beyond excited to finally have him over and know that he won't have to leave.

For the first time the initial application was submited Feb 2014 ,have the interview May 2015 refused and appealed June 2016 got the blue book Oct 2016 then full hearing July 2017 allowed appeal and got the writing latter after 13 days now waiting the medical and other updated forms

I am in a situation and I would really appreciate your advise. I was refused a visitor visa to Germany in the past. I did not include this in my initial application for a PR . I did not read through the question before I ticked No. My thought was if have ever been denied a Canada visa only. Now, I have received an email for updated forms and to re-do a medical. It was through this email I realized I have to answer for a visa refusal for to any country.
My question is , should I just maintain what was on the previous form OR I should tick YES to the new form ?. What is the consequence ?. Will I be penalized for not declaring this in my previous application ??..It was completely an omission and not intentional . Will cic refuse my application if I say YES now that I realized. ??. Please,help me.
