I believe it's because of the high rate of unemployment in those areas and the huge concentration of Aborigines in those neighbourhoods. Canada remains a relatively peaceful country, at least compared to most other places.

What are you talking about when u say unemployment? Saskatchewan has the highest employment growth rate in Canada. The workers earn more money than all other province aside Alberta. The west side is always the west side. Gang banging and shootings will always happen. It's happens all over the world even in Switzerland.

I meant unemployment rate specific to the west of Saskatoon and the high number of low income earners there. You're right about the very many jobs in Saskatchewan but are these guys willing to work? I'm not sure.

God ,
I applied under family member category in Feb 2011 and recive file no. in Feb 2011, after that not hearing from sinp.

I also applied in Mar 2011. Sent some additional documents some months after. My sponsor was asked to confirm residency some weeks ago. I guess this means some final work is being done. Really dont know if any Feb/Mar family stream has received his/her nomination this year.
