What is your source of information about the timeline in family class. You might be correct because when I called SINP office last month, they also mentioned that I should expect the nimination sometime in March 2012, But on their site they say the average processing time is 8 to 10 months
I got additional doc request today from CEC, Canada. Is that good news?
How much time it will take now? I heard this will delay my process by 1 month. Is that true? That's too bad, if true.
I applied in June, 2011.
I didn;t get nomination yet. So, My file is still in Canada only.
As many of you might know already, I applied under SINP-skilled worker category.
Waiting for your responses.
What documents did they ask for?.....they will make decision soon

hi, I think you will got nomination after march 2012
Currently the SINP is processing applications that were received in:
Skilled Worker - march 2011
Family with Jobs - december 2010
Family without Jobs - october 2010
I applied under family member category in Feb 2011 and receive file NO. in Feb 2011, after that not hearing from sinp!
Pls don't give information based on what you think. I called and for skilled workers, they are just one month behind ie they are currently processing the applications received last month. Your files go through 5 personel who spend a minimum of 2weeks on your file. Depending on how complicated your file is they then start calling employers etc. When they are making these calls, it means you are one stage close to nomination. They don't reject application unless u don't have one year experience. So please....
My friend asked sinp about processing time by email and he got this..
Processing Times
Most applications take on average 6 months to be processed by the SINP office. After the applicant applies to the appropriate visa post their application is processed by CIC. The processing times vary by visa post. Please check to website below for information about processing times.
