I applied in Aug'17 (FSW).
After 1st medical it was showing 'background checking in process' on mycic. In the meantime I got married and update my marital status. They asked for some documents. Then medical&PPR. I got PPR at the end of last month.
Hope this well encourage someone who is waiting for a long time. for medical or PPR.

First of all, while apply for immigration currently NOC (I mean the experience that you will show) matters. It hardly matter, after immigration submission will you change your job category or not. Off course, you need to update CIC regarding any changes.
Another issue is, experience certificate for EE or anything is basically same:
A experience certificate containg detail job performance from HR or immediate supervisor along with e-mail/ phone number by using the official pad
NOC is a vital issue in Skilled Immigration. So, be very careful about it. Try to study thoroughly and understand the job roles of both the positions . Then see if they match well with the description of the NOC at ESDC/statcan/CIC website. If both matches the same NOC, then it should be OK.
For my FSWP 2014 application, I submitted my appointment letter, promotion letter, 1 yr salary account statement, latest salary certificate, job description letter from immediate supervisor with his contact info in official pad (mentioning my salary, work hours, responsibility, job history, job type: permanent or contract etc details ). see these links:

১) পাসপোর্ট প্রতি VFS এর চার্জ কত বর্তমানে?
২) শুক্রবার এবং শনিবার কি VFS অফিস খোলা থাকে?
৩) Appendix-B Form কি edit করে fill up করা যায় নাকি হাতে লিখে fill up করতে হয় ?
