Dear All,
Can someone put their views how to show proof of fund in front of an immigration officer ?
Coz, the amount required to show proof of fund is much lower than the amount Bangladesh Govt. permits per annum by an individual.
Pls express ur views
Dear All,
I am a Jan 2008 applicant from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Last week I got a letter from Alberta asking me to sign up for a Alberta immigration kit.
It was asking me to sign up on web to receive the alberta immigration kit, and they have also informed me that CIC informed them about my application.
My query is, what does this letter means have they started processing my document ?
arjo,
BD govt has no problem if you show Billions of dollars but they have the problem if you wanna take more than a fixed amount with you during your departure from the Country.
So, no need to exaggerate any amount that you cant take with you to Canada. Canadian Interview officer also knows that, they read well about BD before arriving here, they know well about its Monetary policies for BD PR holders.
You can however always send a FAX with a return FAX or email address to CAN High commission Immigration section.

Legally I can take US$ 15000.00 as the number of my family is four but according to CIC I am supposed to bring CAD 20k. will it be any problem in POE. Kindly advice.

$5000 wont be a problem.
Wrap that $5000 with Carbon paper with you on your pocket.
its nothing, BD immi officers know this v well, keep some Bangla money with you in case you need for dot dot dot, but dont dot dot dot them unless they show some sign to take it. I'll let you know more , a safe way, keep sending me messages

it is not necessary is it 6 months or less or over you need to have photocopy of your relatives PR card
BD skilled, only xeroxed copies of PR card, Landing Proof, His/her birth and marriage certificate is required.
I have only sent her Birth Certificate & Photocopies of PR card.
But now some body says that I need to provide her tax reurtn file & Evidenca of her phisical presence in Canada at least of 6 Months.
Now Can i Send this documents separately?

Why wrap in carbon paper? is it for any specific reason?
I talked to my bank (St. Chartered, Sylhet branch) and Bangladesh Bank, Sylhet branch. They informed me that they can endorse in the passport only US$2500/adult and US$1500/child if one carries one way ticket to any international destination.
I have purchased one way tickets for my family for toronto and they have informed me that they will be able to endorse only 7500 dollars in 4 passports(mine, my wife's and 2 daughter's). I want to be sure about this. I need your help and advice.
Thanks very much.
