To Jewel

For me it took nearly one month to get PCC from my Thana (outside Dhaka).

nsharif

in Bangladesh, Money (Bribe) does everything.
The more you give, the less your harrassment is.
My friend got it in 3 days, he bribed 7000 BDT. How much did you pay as bribe?

This is why it took 30 days for you, you didnt bribe them. By rule, you shouldve got that in 3 days !!!

Look at their official announcement. Getting police clearance certificate: You should pay Tk.250 through govt. chalan and submit the receipt to the one stop center at District Police office along with your particulars. You will get your clearance certificate within 3 (three) days unless you have criminal record(s).

Thanks for the discussion and providing the links of Chittagong police.

Yesterday, submitted application to Ctg kotowali thana for PCC and already spent TK.800.00 (speed money) for enquiry purpose. In fact I have taken PCC earlier in 2006 during my application and obviously I have no creminal record. Now they are telling that if I need the PCC with in 7 days then I have to sepnt 10-12 thousand Taka for me and my spouse. So, you can understand what is the reality.

Best rgds,

Yes Jewel, This country is busted for sure for educated bribe hungry govt officials.
This is why everyone is after migration. lol. in the end BD will be (already it currently is) ruled by people with bank full of illegally earned money. So guess how they will run BD. Worst days are waiting for this country.

I applied through the simplified process i.e. a 3 pages application and fees to Singapore on 4 Sept 2006. Meanwhile I had done a professional fellowship in the US for one year. The High Commission is asking me to send update of information, all documents and Right of Permanent Residence Fees. I realize that NOC 2263 would be more suitable for me but I put 2262 in my first application (IMM0008 (05-2006)E). Can I change now to 2263 while filling out the forms now? Please help me, I am in a deadline to follow.

How could someone wrongly do such a thing when it comes to Immigration processing?
Anyways, You can obviously request for a change in your NOC Code, but you need to send your experience certificates and other relevant papers which could further delay your process.

Unfortunately, they do not give a list of medical conditions which preclude you from coming to Canada.

They state, you cannot be a health risk to Canada- means your disease must not be something that costs CAN govt a heap. If having Hep B is considered a health risk to Canada, you will not be allowed to immigrate to Canada.

My best wishes, that your condition is not chronic. However, you can contact Dr. Wahab’s Clinic, House # 3, Road # 12, Baridhara, Dhaka-1212.
Phone # 8821454, 8827553, Mobile # 01711-565444 , He does the bulk of the medical thats given by the CIC Singapore to applicants in Dhaka.

Congrates bhai. But, is everybody collecting passport from CHC Dhaka ? What will be the case if someone working abroad while submitting passport ? How he will return to Dhaka to collect his passport ? Can someone make things clear , please.

It's no problem if they send to my mailing address but it'll be problem if they send it to CHC Dhaka. Did you request to send it to CHC Dhaka ??
