We have sent our PPR1 docs... now waiting for PPR2.. should we take out our funds from the bank and convert to dollars? and should we make ticket booking for jan/feb now? We are still waiting for visa to do this.. but thought i would ask everyone's advice..

Basements are quite cheaper than apartments, ranging from $700 to $900/month!

Basements sure are cheaper but there will be no sun light and you can hear all the sounds from the people living upstairs and the landlord will always be controlling you as well...

In my opinion you should wait until and unless you have the visa in hand...

I think it would be too early to book the tickets at this stage.
Considering the unpredictable response of CHC, I would advise you to wait atleast till issuance of PPR-2.
Regarding account issue, I think all checks are over now and you are at liberty to take out the money.

great topic, we just received our visas and planning for landing ASAP, hopefully in mid november, I found that 2way tkt (in total) is cheaper than 1way, in the way of purchasing our temporary health insurances. hotels or a house not booked yet, I'm searching.
