Some kind soul plz guide me... I got a request for additional document imm5669e background declaration to sustantiate gap in work experience. Form is available online in pdf but they have no online provision for signature and signature section in this form doesn't have provision for entering name manually by typing online... can I just fill details take print out, scan and upload it? Plz plz advise!! Thanks in advance!

Ash, it often takes 30-45 days for medical to pass. Since you applied inside Canada, as soon as medical gets passed, your background check will start instantly instead of waiting for more than a month like some of us! That's what we are really jealous of :-\
Ah, really? I had no idea there was a delay for people outside of Canada for the background. I would have expected to to faster since they don't need to do an internal one. Hopefully, things will move for everyone soon!

Yup. I'm pure FSW (no LMIA or PNP and never been on Canadian soil) and my BG check is till "Not needed at this time" and the same applies for another friend of mine whose medical has been passed and Application Received in ECAS.
We need to verify criminal, security and/or other background information to ensure admissibility to Canada.
Review of background information may be Not started, Not needed at this time, In progress or Complete
Not needed at this time means we have not yet received an application for permanent residence. You need an invitation to apply before you can submit an application for permanent residence.
Not started means that we have not begun the review of background information.
In progress means that we have begun the review of background information.

I was reading yr posts... I submitted my application in may 9th... I just checked my application and these two have changed to not started.. so as u said it's one level progress??
