Hi All,

Congrats everyone who got the PR approvals.

Need help with a quick question on sending the Passports:
I live in USA - (Indian National) and received an email on 14th Sep with request to send the Passport.


Should I send through Fedex / UPS to CIC- Ottawa office with prepaid return envelope ?
Is this safe to send the PP. How long does it take to get the passport back?
How did you guys send it to Ottawa office and got back?

Can any share their experience for PP submission from US.

Please advise.

Congrats on your passport request

Sending Indian passport from one country to another is a crime under Indian passport act. Instruction is printed on the back page of Indian passport. If they found it later that you had not traveled to Canada on the specific visa issue dates they can taken action against you(like passport cancellation, visa cancellation and even fine).

There are two successful candidates who could able to get Visa stamping from Newyork visa office , which was on their request. Please find the thread below

Better to sent mail, Fax and CSE to Ottawa and Newyork visa office explaining your situation.

Kindly inform me the response when you get a revert from Newyork Visa office. I believe they are fast in this...

There is no point calling as they will not tell you anything.

When i rang they told me that decision made may not be the final decision. It may just be a decision on your background check and they you just need to wait until My Cic updates.
