And now if English is a discipline in a college or university, there have to be teachers for that subject. If English teaching was not on high demand, they would not mention it in the 38 categories.
I have applied under NOC 4131 last August. After 2 month waiting I received medical request yesterday. My visa office is in Vienna.

if lecturers are not in demand, they would have lifted the category from the list.
moreover, seeing the list only we people are applying. so too much of pessimism
" saying that the job(english lecturer) is not in high demand " wil not be useful atall in anyone's life.

I checked with a lawyer in Canada and he said that visa officers have to do their job to satisfy the requirements of the immigration regulations, but there isn't any documents to show that the NOC 4131 is not included the teacher of English.

and they ar least bothered about whether or not the job is in demand or not.

I already asked my lawyer to do for my case. He is going to find out what is going on with my current application. If there will not be any thing good about it, he will withdraw it and apply a new one with the NOC 4131.
