Thank You soo much for your reply but brother there is strange thing in my case...as you said that they may be checking my criminality or Security but i ordered GCMS notes and there CRIMINALITY is showing 1 & SECURITY is showing 0 both of these under ADMISSIBILITIES + On tracker my biometric and medical is showing:Completed, While Background Check and Eligibility is showing:IN PROGRESS....so from this analysis what do you think my case is under security screeing from which i am scared as it takes around 1 whole year...if not then what do you think how much time will it take for me to get response??

Criminality is passed within the first few months of filing the application, while the security is the last to be assessed.
If your eligibility is passed, and it has been more than 6 months, then you may be in security screening. Request your CBSA and CSIS notes to get a clear picture and see where your application is stuck, if CSIS is involved, and if so, if they have concluded their involvement.

dear i have a quick question, my security is still in progress since Feb 28, 2023, I ordered GCMA notes from CBSA and CSIS, I received the CSIS notes and they concluded my security on December 12 2023 and sent it to CBSA, it is almost 2 months I didn't hear anything from ircc, i called them today and they said my security is still in process, will cbsa also take time do the security check?

CSIS notes are not like CBSA or IRCC, they are a bit different with limited information,
CSIS notes will only show you whether the security is in process or they did their part on this date and sent it to CBSA.
so I received my notes its a piece of paper, and it says my security was completed and sent it to CBSA on 12 December 2023, after that I am still waiting, I don't know how much time now CBSA will take,

CSIS is only one of the many federal agency that looks into SS. If CSIS has concluded its involvement, and once CBSA is done, the report will be sent to IRCC.
Most delays happen when the report keeps sitting without being updated.

understood, but my question is once CSIS concludes the security, will CBSA also do security checks? I heard once security is done by CSIS and they send the report to CBSA, the CBSA just compile the report and sends it to IRCC ?

I applied as Start Up Visa in 2020. I passed eligibility, background and security and was approved on November 01 2023 according to GCMS, but so far no passport request.

Anyone has any idea about "cancelled status" in this situation.
