Alberta healthcare new PR resident

Could anyone help me please, I have PR (finally) and very unsure what healthcare I need to get to live and work in Alberta. I was thinking of getting 3 months cover from UK but really don't understand the system. I have looked online and its really confused me....if I travel out of Alberta, am I covered etc. I have work there and no-one has mentioned this yet.

You don't need any coverage in Canada from the UK. Apply for AHCIP when you get to Alberta.
