If u don't mind, could u tell from which country u r ?
I'm asking this coz I'm from India and have heard rumour they're not giving NOIs to Indian people.

It's not the case... currently they are prioritising outlanders with required skills and have some sort of ties to AB.

Next in line will be candidates who have the skills but may/may not have any ties to AB

Can you advise what do you mean by 'some sort of ties' .. I have a friend in Alberta who is now a citizen, but no family as such.
Can it be useful, and how ?

Sorry, but I don't think AB consider 'friend' as connection to the province unlike Manitoba.
