Sorry didn't got you. If you are asking if they wait for your reply and then email the employer, then the answer is its regardless, they both have to answer as per the deadline given in the emails they got.

What I meant was, they contacted applicant and employer on two different days, so I was wondering if they contacted employer after the information requested to applicant was provided.

No they both have been sent a separate email, irrespective of each other. Both of them had to stick as per the deadlines in their email. Happened with my friend as well.

Reason I'm asking this is because they have contacted myself for some documents but neither my past Australian Employer or Employer who offered a job in Alberta has been contacted.

They sent me a email asking new Canadian employer email id on 6th and I replied on the same day. And on 7th my home country employer got email from the officer, on 13th he replied.

I think the processing depends upon case to case, they mostly try to verify overseas employment I guess or Both if Inland.
