AINP - Workpermit extension

Hi All,

I am new to this forum. I have a doubt about my work permit extension application. I received my AINP nomination last week and now I would like to apply for work permit extension as my current work permit expire next week. I have not applied for federal yet so I do not have option for bridging open work permit. Based on my AINP nomination I will be able to get closed work permit. if I select Exempt from LMIA option in what kind of work permit are you applying for question in IMM5710 form then should my employer need to create profile in Employer portal and pay CAD 230 compliance fees.

I am not sure if I am going in right direction.

Pls give your thought.

I already received 204C letter with my nomination but when I apply for work permit extension online it tells me to pay only CAD 155. It suppose to ask me CAD 255 for open work permit.

Why do you suppose it is open ..if you get the nomination under EDS it will be closed, for SRS it is open..if there is no option for this online go for paper..but do not let your permit expires

When you are applying for an extension using the 204C letter, you only get a closed work permit, not open.
