I am AINP nominee working here in Alberta on work permit and my PR is still in process (PR applied as AINP nomination). My work permit will expire in few months so wanted to prep for my work permit extension. Does any of you applied for work permit extension and did you use same AINP certificate or got the new one from AINP?

I have read on forums that people have used their expired nomination to get work permit extension......I m also going to be into the same boat soon....let mme know how it turns out to be......

I m also same situation now, for my work permit renewal i want to use my PNP but at the time of renewal my PNP will expire, so i m thinking
PNP should extend, can i apply for PNP extension before its expiry date. so let me know if any one done on same...

Buddy you can use your expired PNP for work permit extension.....While extending your work permit they will ask you whether you have done your medicals or not and if yes you will have to attach copy of the reciept from the doctor.....thats it

Canadabie: Have you applied for OWP? or just WP? are you able also to apply OWP as when i applied for renewal of my permit I applied for OWP so i just have no idea if they will grant it.

I apologies for my late response, got tied up in something else and wasn't getting enough time to login here.

I haven't applied for extension yet but planing on doing it in few months. During that time, I will apply for extension of open work permit for my spouse as well. It's good that we applied for OWP as well that way it will be easier to get now than applying it separately.
Did you apply for extension online and did you choose an option for OWP for your spouse while applying for your work permit?
