Same happened to me, I sent an email month ago they replied today saying it is approved. I pray we all get it this week.

Oh okay I got it on May 23rd. Hopefully we will get the PPR email tonight because last batch of Oct. applicants got it on May 13 Tuesday around 8:30 pm (Central time)

Last step is to wait for the passport to come back. That will be even harder

I emailed CPC Ottawa yesterday afternoon to ask what the current waiting time for the COPR is and got the following answer:

Dear Applicant,

A decision was just made on May 29th on your application. You will receive an email in the coming weeks. Please note that once an application has been approved it can take 2-8 weeks for the finalization with the email to be sent.

I`m from a visa exempt country so I was expecting a letter by regular mail instead of an email, can anyone explain this?

they will email you to ask you send a copy of your passport, biodata, and photos, not regular mail

I thought the next step would be COPR since I already submitted the copy of my passport and photos (but no biodata) when I applied in October.

Here is my timeline:

Category: BC PNP
Visa Office: CPC Ottawa
Application received: 17. Jan 2014.
AOR and Medical: 21. Feb 2014.
RPRF Request: 27. Feb 2014. (it was before medical was done)
RPRF paid: 28. Feb 2014.
Medical done: 03. Mar 2014.
Reminder e-mail (RPRF, PCC...): 15. May

I have contacted Sydney by e-mail to ask about putting my application "in process" (how long I need to wait for it and what is the next step in the process for PR)

CIC have answered me today:

Your application is in process. An email was sent on 17 May 2014 as a reminder to:

· Renew passports if less than 6 months validity

· Submit all police certificates required

· Review copy of application and check Personal Details and Addresses to ensure no GAPS and to submit a new Schedule A if there are GAPS

· Complete medicals

· Pay the RPRF


What does it mean? Why does My ECAS stil show APPLICATION RECEIVED if it is in process?
How long is normal to wait for PPR after this stage?
