Thanks guys again everyone will have their own turn..It will come.Another thing don't depend too much on ECAS as like me until yesterday it's still on app received like some of the guys experienced here in the forum.I am also lucky getting encouragements that even though I can't submit my passports yet as I am waiting for the new one, It would spare me of waiting for PPR as I got it already
I have a question if anybody can help me. I am a May 14th applicant, eCas status application received, medicals received. The question is how does it work for applicants who are from visa exempt countries. I have heard that they only request copy of the passports when it comes to the end of the process ( DM and PPR). and if so, what document do you receive to do the landing , just a letter or so??. Anybody who has experienced the landing without being requested to send the passport for stamp?

I have read a couple of cases where that has been skipped - that's only done for visa exempt countries. In some cases they will ask for a passport copy, if you're from a ve country.
I am a Jan 6 applicant , i havnt got IP,my status just shows application revived and medical received, recently I requested my gcms notes and found out that CIC has been doing a criminality check since last 6 months and security and eligibility checks have not begun, I have no idea what to do? people much after me have got pprs, I'm in a dilemma
Thanks for the reply. I posted this question because my home country (Chile) just became visa exempt this November 22nd.

I am on the same boat GBH, the only difference is i got IP ...i have no idea how long it will take, we are early Jan applicants and we are still waiting for PPR whereas Late Jan applicants have already received their PPR...Don't know on which basis the files are being processed ..i would say just wait and pray hopefully we will get a good news soon
My timeline is here :
We received your application for permanent residence on January 10, 2014.
We started processing your application on October 21, 2014.
a +1 for you, that is so true! They claim they do their best.. I truly dont believe that. Checking paperwork and doing all those checks cannot take that long. Especially answering!

GBH thanks and honestly can't blame for feeling that way.Don't worry much on notes that you got and ecas.We all don't know how CIC works. If you are sure that you will pass all this checks and documents are all genuine and accurate, there is nothing to get worried.our passports are done and will be sent on wed going to canada.God really have his way of helping me find ways to expedite our renewal fast.Just hang on there
