After sending passport, how long does CIC take to stamp the PR visa?

Do you live in canada and you going for vacation back home if that case let me coz i have plan to go back but dont how does it work if i landed coming through back cuz i live in canada too plz inform me as soon as possible

Sorry for late reply. In your passport request e-mail in the final paragraph it says like this

"The issuance of your visa(s) cannot be delayed so it is important for you to submit your passport(s) as soon as possible. An expiration date (dd/mm/yy) will be indicated on your visa and/or on your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR – IMM 5688), and you must obtain permanent residence on or before that date. The visas and CoPR cannot be extended. If you are not prepared to live permanently in Canada immediately after your permanent residence is granted, please consult the CIC website regarding your obligations to retain your status in Canada."

This meaning of this paragraph is when your passport comes back from ottawa stamped with visa it has a expiry on it within that time period you can do the landing. you can do landing anywhere while coming back from India.

My passport is with them since first week of Nov and so far no news. All we can do at this stage it to hope and pray that CIC go back to work asap.

Does anyone know what might be happening at the visa office in Hong Kong? We sent our passport by their request on December 3. 2014, the package reached the office on 4th (next day). After one month, when I wrote to them they replied that our app is "pending officer's review" (I guess the passports were received). But now it's been more than three months of silence. Further two enquiries (one in every month) are being ingnored. We are worried. What possibly can be a problem?

Last feb 24 los angeles consulate ask our passport and rprf and photo as well.
We send it march 3 by fedex and they received it march 4. They didnt send it back yet
Unfortunately there is no way to contact them over the phone just e-mail. I've been sending them e-mail
But no response from them.

It could be on route. Did you mail it from the US?

Also Are you Under CEC? or FSW? Because normally CEC applicants are asked to submit their passport in Ottawa.

Then april 1 i received an email asking for the processing fee for my daughter which is already paid

It will be 1 year from the day of your Medical.

So if your Medical date is Feb 28th, 2014, The visa will expire on Feb 27th, 2015

Assuming your passport doesn't expire sooner, yes.

The actual date is either the expiration of the medicals OR the expiration of your passport.

The visa office can tell you why. The folks on this forum certainly can't, though.

Hopefully it will be resolved quickly.
