Adding spouse to existing PNP PR Application

After medical is passed, security check starts and it depends how long our home country takes to give security clearance to cic that’s what i was told by call centre agent.. So if background check is in process after medical passed than it’s security yes.

Mines been almost five months, that’s a very long time !!

Documents sent and medical request for spouse - April 2018
Medical passed ( Spouse) - May 2018

Haven’t heard anything from them ever since. I called them two months ago and they said background check is in process. My medical expired 2 weeks ago. Don’t know what they are waiting for !!

i am also concerned as my case got transferred to etobicoke office after proof of relationship request.

Let’s hope for the best. I applied for GCMS notes almost 6 weeks ago to see my exact status, no response from them either.

I sent the proof of relationship last month .
But my medical was done in june
So should i wait till next 3-4 months?

Hard to say anything but you can call cic and ask them what stage of your application is .. if security has been done than PPR is about to come

I called them yesterday.

They said there are no delays.

My consultant said if the case is transferred that's a good sign as landing interviews are conducted at this office and its final stage of application.

Hoping to get PPR by next week.

I dont remember what I read about pre arrival email, but I guess it was something being sent to 2017 and onward applicants . Check into those topics, it was related to something (security, BG, or Pre-screening) . Eligibility is what you have already passed.

Many congratulations! Glad to hear some good news.
Would you mind to confirm if your spouse is in Canada? Asking from a point that when they call for an interview I believe both the husband and wife have in-Canada addresses.
And for Additional Document: Did they request for Proof of relationship or Proof of funds?
