HI there the time frame between the day your mailed your letter to the acknowledgement letter is 3 months whoever you may recive this letter before this time of course sonner if you want to check out the status of your application online you can put as a client Id number the 8 digit numbers in front of your PR card with your last name as it appear on the card and your date of birth i hope this help
Just got an update from CIC call centre that they are mailing acknowledgements for applications received on April 23, 2013. So, you should expect it in a week or two.
