My hearing is next March 22. Under less complex with a short hearing.
How was your interview? Could you please share your experience?

Experience Is really dependent on your case and reasons for asylum. The hearing mainly goes through the reasons you need asylum.
By the way I got a positive decision yesterday. I had to fight against the minister’s representative on credibility issues he raised and although I decided to represent myself without a lawyer because I couldn’t afford one … I did it!

Very difficult, fighting the minister’s representative allegations on credibility. We took 3 hours but I was very calm and explained my story and my job back in my home country. The judge asked several questions and was convinced , he didn’t tell it but I could read her face. The minister was not convinced but I rejected all his allegations at the end during my submission and mentioned to the IRB judge that the minister’s allegations on credibility were not related to my story and should be discarded. The judge considered also the fact I represented myself without a lawyer.
