Hi Guys,

Submitted our PP on 9th of September at VFS Dubai, reached ADVO on 10th Sep.

No updates since then.

In MyCIC, it says action is required and there is a place holder for passports. Do i need to do anything ? Do i need to resubmit scans of the passports ?

Appreciate your thoughts on this one.

you should be fine as long as the dimensions are right.

My CIC finally shows approved however VFS still shows under progress.
Tomorrow will mark five weeks since the 7th of September- submission date.
How long till my passport is ready?

Wow .. that's a lot of time. Did they ask you for any additional documents mid-process?
According to tracker if you are inside UAE you should get it by tomorrow. If you are outside maybe within 2-4 days.

Indeed, it took longer since I am on a tourist visa in the emirates. No additional documents were required.
Oh thanks for the approximate timeline, I thought VFS would have it ready for me today since I am in Abu Dhabi.
What does your CIC show now?

Oh I see. I submitted my PP few days ago so I still have a long wait.

Hey guys.... my spouse resides in India while I live here in Abu Dhabi. She used to live here till last year. I got her PCC yesterday from Abu Dhabi police. Problem is that the PCC states her old passport number as per their records. The one she had when she was living here. Will this be a problem? I dont think theres anyway I can update it unless she comes back to live here which at the moment is almost impossible.

Just dropped by at VFS dubai yesterday to provide them New photos as the Canadian embassy has rejected our previous photos. Hopefully we might receive an update next week, god willing.

Hi Everyone. Did any one submit on 12 September? Is there any update for the batch submitted that week (10 - 15 Sep)?

I checked on immitracker that someone got their application approved who submitted on 13th September.

PS: I mean the timelines are nuts here, they are retaining passports for a month without even blinking an eye. My AOR-PPR took 19 days and PPR-COPR, already 17 days have passed. I’m hoping to get my passport by 30th October. Crazy! Just Crazy!
