Bro the difficulty is...
I need to go back to my home country to apply for renewal.
They will not renew with more than 6 months validity
I used to read that they stamp the visa on passports with more than 6 months validity. Why is mine 12 months?

So, the only thing you can do now is to send them asking for clarification.

In my opinion, you go ahead with the request of renewing your passport. Once you get any confirmation form your country authority you can forward it to CIC along with an explanation letter. To save time, start now.
I have tried to get some info on the web regarding your question if there is any link that states the validity of passport, all info were 6 months.
The main thing is DO NOT WORRY at all

Mgazi bro thanks for the words. Actually I went with the option of submitting the passport with a cover letter since I still have 10 months validity. I am trying to send today. Hopefully they will reply me on time and stamp. Pray for me as usual please. I hope you will be getting good news asap

I really pray for you and I hope within the current year we can meet there

I will be waiting till 15th or 20th april then I will contact CIC as I would be exceeding the 13 Months from processing date.
