Most people living in the UAE don't need a medical exam. Medical exams depend on where you have lived in the year before you travel to Canada.

Go for PNP as well, you can apply parallel, no worries, PNP is always a better option.

I emailed IRCC and got the following reply in a day.

Your application has been approved. Please be advised that we are not sending original passport request letters at this time. The responsible visa office will contact you with special instructions to submit passport.

At least the application is approved, but don't know how long before the passport request is initiated.

Anyone else in the same situation?

Congrats. Is it allowed to email IRCC even though lawyer applied on your behalf? When did you applied and when received BVL?

I tried contacting them. They confirmed my application is in processing but wouldn't give me any further information as they provide case-related information only to the email provided in the application, which is the lawyer's email in my case.

Here is my timeline, NOC 2175 closed WP with LMIA.

Feb 20, 2020 Application Submitted
Feb 21, 2020 Biometric Request
Feb 28, 2020 Biometric Submitted

Nothing then, still waiting, i am at 26th week. I saw UAE processing time is updated to 33 weeks.

Can you please help us, how to do this request?

I haven't yet heard any update on my application (LMIA-based work permit with a job offer), though. Following is my timeline:

NOC: 2173
February 28, 2020: LMIA Issued
March 03, 2020: Application Submitted
March 04, 2020: Biometrics Request
March 04, 2020: Biometrics Submitted
