I am a Pakistan born living in Doha
I applied for student visa on 14th May 2017
My college is Durham college Mechanical engineering diploma
City is Oshawa Ontario
I applied from Doha Qatar and did not receive any medical test call its been 14 days could you kindly tell me how long did it take for your medical test call and also write your city where you have applied
Can anyone add me to the student group on whatsapp for Doha to CANADA

submitted mine April 27 received refusal May 29. re applying soon.

YES!!! I got an e-mail from VFS stating that Canadian embassy requested my passport!

But the problem is in CIC website it does not show any changes, its the same as before. Is it since I applied paper based through VFS I will get a notification from VFS before CIC updates the website? Im just hoping its not an error :S

Thanks guys. Yes I applied for September 2017. I will go to VFS in a few days to submit the passport and let you guys know of any updates.

Timeline is as follows:
Applied through VFS Doha, Qatar on 17th April 2017. Biometrics were done at the same time.
Medical Requested on 2nd May 2017.
Medical Done on 6th May 2017.
Medical Status changed to Passed on 10th May 2017.
Addition of Eligibility and Background check fields on 7th June 2017.
E-mail request for Passport through VFS (Not CIC) on 13th June 2017.

CIC account is still not updated, maybe it will take a few days?

Here is what it says in the linked application section:
Application status: We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results: You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents: We do not need additional documents.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
