In schedule 8 i mentioned only 3 major duties. Is that not sufficient for Vo to understand that i am in noc 2171.
Most times that is not sufficient, hence all of us recommend to mention duties in the form itself and if needed, attach a separate sheet mentioning the duties. Looking at what you have filled in schedule 8, it doesn't appear to be substantial. That being said, your reference letter does provide the duties in detail.
The duties in schedule 8 looks very similar to NOC description (picked few key statements from the description). My GCMS notes stated that "duties appear to be similar to HSRDC NOC description.". It went to a second officer who set eligibility as PASS, and my application was approved.
Your case is nowhere close to rejection and most likely (IMO), you will be asked to provide clarifications. This is not guaranteed, but can happen.

Ganapathi,
Just b'cas you put 2171 in the doesn't mean, you fall under 2171, the first criteria that they look is under what NoC your WP has been given. Give me the exact name/ designation that has been printed on your WP. If its a open WP its a different issue.
I am on post grad open work permit

Can i update schedule 8 form now.
What did you do when they said that your job duties matches exactly. Did you update any letter or else waited until second officer to review.

I just waited and I received my RPRF request shortly thereafter. So, don't worry too much, wait for the second officer to review.

They asked me for a LOE for a job that I was not claiming under CEC. I got the letter regardless, but I was told by the VO, that they requested the documents in error.

I think your situation was a little different than the OP's, to say the least. Just look at the wording: "appear to be similar to HSRDC description" vs. "does NOT meet requirements". The former sounds not sure and leave the opinion to a second reviewer, but the latter is a made opinion that needs to be overturned by a more experienced VO...

So no need to update the reference letter

Do not send anything until and unless asked. Sending documents based in what you think can resolve that issue can sometimes make situation more worse. Wait for a couple of weeks more and try ordering GCMS notes again.

If the second reviewer needs to clarify anything in your original ref letter, he/she will let you know. I think to overturn the first VO's opinion, you'll likely be asked for something, so better be alert to check your emails. The stressful part is you don't know WHEN the second reviewer will take a look at your file...

Yes slightly different, as I did not have the words does NOT meet requirements. But as the OP I did have the words "supporting docs does appear to match" and "second review required". That being said, I agree with everyone here, that best bet is to wait and check emails regularly.
From my GCMS note, I have the similar comment as maniac2403. And it went to second review.
I didn't get any emails or calls for requesting documents. Should I send another LOE with more detail?
maniac2403: May I know did you send any updated documents after? (eg: a more detailed LOE )
