Mr.Jason Kenny had said a month ago that the new FSW applicants starting May 4, 2013 will not have to wait more than a year for finalizing their applications.
Mr.Jason Kenny had today said that all new FSW applicants will be placed behind the MI-1 applicants queue.
Based on these two comments, my inference is that they are now in a better position to clear the backlog which had been hurting their reputation and all successful M1-1 applicants will see themselves in Canada latest by May 2014!!!

but what does he mean by limited applications for May 2014? Are they going to reduce the quota, or find some new way to decrease the chances of us newbies? any ideas?

Thank God for speaking to their conscience.I checked my ecas last night and found that the date has been modified to 02/14/13.Sign they are working for those of us IN PROCESS.
Unfortunately, that is not likely the case. For that to be true, they should clear all the backlogs till date by the end of 2013, which is just not going to happen, and CIC as already acknowledged that fact. Unfortunately, Kenny is flipping back his words, and now saying that the new applicants will have to wait until all other cases are cleared (which might be take years). So, yea, there is not much to be excited about. The situation remains the same for MI-1 applicants while it just got worse for the new applicants.
