I have received "Passport request letter" from DELHIIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca on March 31,2015. Email says as per reference to my application for permanent residence. To finalize my application, require:

1. Passports
2. Photos
3. Change in Circumstances
4. Submitting your passport(s) in Canada (CPC-O)
5. INFORMATION FOR YOU, YOUR SPOUSE, AND CHILDREN:

I am right now in United States in a visiting visa (B1/B2) with my family, my visiting visa was till Dec 31, 2014, we have filed extension of visa (received extension receipt I-797C Receipt, but awaiting approval), moreover a company has sponsored me and I have filed H1B too.

I am residing at my relatives house in USA.

1. I have received Passport request, ** but not yet received Medical request ** . Is it normal to receive passport and photos request before medicals?

2. I would like to know if I can submit our passports and photographs in US, do I need to change my address? Please suggest procedure.

2. My daughters passport will expire on July, 2015. I have applied for Passport Renewal for my daughter at Houstan, Texax, USA. It will take 3-4 weeks to renew and receive passport. What is the procedure to extend time of passport submission.

Please advise.

@innovation,

From ur time line it appears that u had applied for ur Canadian PR under MI-II AND the information called for by NDVO suggests that ur BG check has not been completed as yet. If u had informed VO about ur US visit prior to ur departure for US,there is possibility that VO wants to reassure from ur ppt alone as to what could be the purpose of ur visit nd ur present status in US. Generally, PPT request is sent with MR which indicates completion of BG check.
Yes, if u are desirous to see finalization of ur Canadian PR application,u have to comply the instructions as imparted in the email u recvd. from NDVO ND apprise it with ur present status.U can send the required information/docs. through DHL Courier Service under a cover letter with detailed explanation.U may send copy of ur daughter's ppt with documentary proof wrt its submission for renewal AT Indian Consulate,Houston. Also, please make sure to send copy of the email along with the information/docs as asked for.

Hope, it may pelp u. Others members may also post their their views in this regard.

Good luck nd May God bless all !!!!!

Hi parhar61,

thanks a lot for your reply.

I did not inform NDVO before departure. NDVO has requested passports and photos for all of us (whole family).

I have submitted case specific inquiry about my current situation that I am in US, i have given my daughters ppt for renewal and why they did not send medicals. I hope they will reply and/or extend my time to submit ppt.

I hope it is fine.

@INNOVATION,

U are welcome,please.

Sir/Madam, as observed from the way NDVO functions,PPT(S) are required to be submitted with any other additional docs + Proof of Medical done .
In ur case, since they have asked for ppt(s),it is possible that some part of ur BG Check is yet to be accomplished. It is just my conjecture.I am not sure, what purpose CSE INITIATED BY U shall serve.

In my opinion, compliance to instructions emanated from VO OUGHT TO be MADE.Delay may result in unnecessary correspondence nd prolong process of application. Please note that change in status is required to be communicated to VO SO AS to help it make a just decision.

Let us wish nd hope for the best !!!

Good luck nd May GOD BLESS ALL !!!!

Hi all,

Pipis.. Congrats on receiving your passports with Visa stamp!

I have a query.. I am the primary applicant and obviously have got my educational credentials assessed. But, does my spouse need to get it done as well, before we travel?

Is it mandatory for getting a job in Canada?

Kindly advise.

Hi friends , I came across in a difficult situation. Please guide me.

I applied for fsw 2014 in october and recieved PER in febuary. Now I need to change my father's name in NIC and passport for some reason. Although there is a very slight change but I have applied for new nic and pp. My query is how to update CIO or LVO about new NIC and passport no. Also note that I am still waiting for medical.

Kindly guide me what to do now. Will this change in NIC and PP affect my application?

Hi, it's a good idea to have your credentials accessed before you leave while you are able to follow up with the process in the school in your country. In determining her suitability for certain jobs, some potential employers may like to know if her credentials are equivalent to those issued in Canada. I think it's better to have it when you might need it than to need it and not have it.

Hi, you can update your VO about your passport with a CSE at this link, https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=new%20delhi

It will have no negative effect at all on your application, cheers.
