I am from Yemen.I have been admitted to Ph.D. program in Canada with full research assistant scholarship by the University. I have applied for study permit 5 months ago, however, I have no response yet. I have sent a couple of inquiries to the embassy, and finally received a reply saying that they are waiting for background checks and screening results.
Has anyone waited for his study permit more than 5 months? and I am wondering is there any thing that I can do other than waiting ?! I am really worried that I will lose my scholarship because of this delay.
