So guys/gals, got the GCMS notes finally. Its the course that screwed me as we predicted. I did not mention its benefits to me in the SOP properly. Also I think they saw my engineering back logs or score as less. Let me know what you guys think, and how to address this in my SOP. Please...

Text: On review of all information including PA's previous employment and educational history,
their motivation to pursue studies in Canada at this point does not seem reasonable.
Client has obtained a Bachelor of Engineering - Electronics and Communication Engineering 2008. PA
is requesting to take a Computer Software and Database Development Program. PA has worked as a
Senior Automation Consultant from 2016 to 2017, Senior Automation Engineer from 2017 to 2019, and
Senior Associate from 2019 to present.
Chosen program and course content at the college level at such expense appears illogical/ redundant
in light of the PA's reported scholarly/work history, thus the proposed program does not adequately
demonstrate a logical progression of studies, hence I am not satisfied that applicant would not
have already achieved the benefits of this program.
Client has not satisfied me that the course of study is reasonable given the high cost of
international study in Canada when weighed against the potential career/employment benefits.
Considering previous academic performance, employment history, and relevance of the proposed course
of study, I am not satisfied that the applicant would be a bona fide student in Canada and would
depart Canada at the end of the period authorized for stay. Application refused as per R216 (1)
(b).

Your age, previous educational background and great career makes it very doubtful that an advanced diploma at a no-name college will help you progress in your career back home (or even in Canada, if you think about it). The only assertion that the VO (or any logical individual) can make is that your intent is to immigrate to Canada. You need to choose a program that provides you a justification of taking that course. My first suggestion would have been to take an MBA but because you already have indicated something else in your SoP, that option is now no longer available to you. A Master's or Msc in your field is tough due to your low grades. The next best thing you can do is look for a Post Graduate Diploma at a University. The higher ranked the better. It will be more expensive but it is the best option at this point
I am not changing the program. Since its the program I want. Test automation engineers know coding but they are no way close to being a developer. Because that involves coding at a much higher standards and they need to know how to run the system. Their code is exposed to millions of customer traffic, code should be optimized. The whole works. Test automation does not need deep knowledge, in short we are script writers and our code is not exposed to customers ever.
So basically I want to stay in technical side although I am in senior position. So all the jobs I get now are manager positions which I dont want to do. Test automation is also not paying well with dead-end technically deprived jobs. Which I see as a problem for me to keep my earning potential healthy. So now I either have to switch to managerial position or become like a QA Architect which are rare in the wild and diminishing. So I am thinking if I have to put so much effort why not become a developer and bring a whole new world for me to compete. Plus I am no longer interested in doing testing job. Mentally I am done with it. I cant.
Universities are tough because of my grades, but still I will try to find one and see I get lucky. But how to justify that switch now. Still its a decent change.
I will mention in the sop that in India you cant just switch to developer roles without the experience, so hence I need this course for the knowledge and the co-op condition it has to get graduate certificate.

I have replied to these concerns above. Let me know what you think.
No way I am interested in MBA. I am not going for that either.
Yes, I will see post graduate diploma in universities also. Lets see.
Loyalist has a AI program which was launched after I applied for SP. If I get into that, maybe I can justify the course. But it seems that Sep 2022 intake is full in that course also. What do you think about this course? Will it make a logical sense? I am still interested in Developer course though

Mate, I am giving you an unbiased view from outside. It sounds like you have your mind already made up. If you are okay to risk it then go for it, there is chance you will get approved. If you want to be more cautious then another strategy is better. It's up to you

Thank you. No, I will try and get an university if I get one. Also I will try and change the program with a better college if that is possible within the time frame. I am open to change. I will try my best. Lets see where it goes.
Canada takes care of its citizens and has a huge immigration policy that is progressive in contrast to many other advanced countries in the west. Its vibrant immigrant population makes it the perfect destination for international students. Canada is rated as one of the best countries to live in. Its education is top notch and has the most beautiful natural landscapes in the world. India is also a vibrant country and there is no other country like it
But if the VO knows it then they still are rejecting students. I think its related to how Canada will benefit from younger applicants than older applicants. Longer years of taxation in my opinion. Anyway, lets see if I can make justice with my latest SOP.
