I have a doubt. Can I include my (private duties/home nursing which I did for a few years) for my experience for RN to CNO? Though I have been currently working in hospitals for 6 years now.

Hi Lika,
You may include those as long as you are able to have it filled up and send to CNO by your employer. If you have problem with that, your current experience is more than enough.
CNO will look at your experience in the last 5 years if you have different employers within that period.
Hoping you're clarified.

I just called the CNO yesterday.. I followed up my status as it is arleady one year (by next month) since I started my application with them..They just told me that my application is still under review..Its taking them already 12months just to review one single application?
Hi ena
Finally I have sent my application filled with CAD$ 678 to CNO. My transcripts and job description etc were sent from my nursing college directly to CNO also. I have also arranged to send my IELTS scores to CNO directly from their office.
So the first step is over. Keeping my fingers crossed to get the second set of forms. Will CNO acknowledge the receipt of these docs and intimate me by email? Or will I not get any reply like from our CHC ND?

Hi Lika,
Based on my experience, they don't always acknowledge receipt of documents esp if it's still within their timeframe of 3-4 months. I am already in Canada but I still have to call CNO to follow up the status of my application. My assessor was very accommodating and I guess it made the difference. I didn't have to wait long. It really depends..
I wish you luck and positive assessment.

OMG!!! i still need to submit another B3 form from the university where i had my masterals, i thought it will not be needed anymore because i was not able to complete the whole course, that's why i didn't process it, i got an email from CNO that i still need to furnish them the B3 form of that unfinished masteral degree.

You have a bigger possibility to get your eligibility for RN. I have a friend with the same situation, unfinished masteral course but still she declared it in the CNO and was given an eligibility for RN, after 4 months fo completing the BET. So to sum up, BET + Additional education (masteral education) + Nursing education in the PHilippines = equivalency/eligibility
But then again, CNO assesment in each applicant differs...

Goodluck...

as far as i know, IELTS not really required during the initial assessment stage, but it will be required on the licensure stage, which means it's after passing the CRNE. But if you do have it right now, well i guess there would be no harm if you'll submit it together with your application package...goodluck
