if youre a 2024 applicant then youre most likely not hearing much before mid 2026. Its frustrating but thats just how it is with IRCC.. Im 2023 and they are still processing dec 2022 in 2025..
To be honest nothing works after submitting your application, we gotta just wait. The only thing surprises me is this category PR only takes the longest time period.
Do you have your AOR? Call IRCC and get your Permanent application number, initially they give a number starts with "X" which is temporary number, beside ask them to guide you to link your application. If you don't have Permanent application number you won't be able to link it.
Thank you for replying.
I actually called them today morning and he told me exactly this. They gave me a temporary number with X and he told I need to wait until confirm they reviewed my docs and change my application number to a permanent and only then try to link, or it won't work.
Will I get any email from permanent resident portal? Or they just change the status there and I need to keep checking times to times?
I was concerned the issue was because my "place of birth" was filled with "city/estate" and not only the "city/town" by the person who helped me. I imagined the / was causing problem.
And by the way he gave me the travel document tracking
2024 applicant Aor May 2024 , received pilot project letter May 2024
Received GCMS notes few days ago my primary office is Missisauga and secondary office operation support centre. any idea about this secondary office ?
Dependent outside Canada. How would I know about there processing office?
IRCC should really rename pre-arrival because it leads to so much confusion. Receiving pre-arrival means nothing in terms of processing it is sent within the PR processing timeline but does not mean that you are close to receiving COPR
