It has been 24 months and 10 days since I submitted my Permanent Residency (PR) application. I am writing to seek advice on the next steps to take.
To provide some context, I received a positive eligibility assessment and pre-arrival services in November 2023. Additionally, I obtained my GCMS notes last month, which indicated that all requirements had been met.

However, I am facing an urgent situation as my work permit is set to expire in January. I submitted a webform to IRCC, but unfortunately, I have not received a response yet.

Could you please advise on the best course of action? Should I contact my Member of Parliament (MP) or reach out to IRCC directly to inquire about the status of my application?

You just need to apply for wp renewal again.

I am giving them a call currently. I wonder why ECOPR should also take time when it ought to be automatically generated once the photo and address portal accepts the uploaded item?

These guys are just slow in the adoption of AI in processes. There are some simple stops than can be automated already just as it is with BIL.

Got a message that you are allowed to work until June 2025 without WP keep the letter in hand just in case lol. what it means they don't want to give WP nor pr lol

when did you apply for WP? I got my WP approval letter, applied in September, and got December. 2 years more WP.

applied on 19 and got an update on the 20th lol in less than 24 hours however, I applied for PR In 2022 so if you got 2 years of WP that means PR gonna take 1 and half year more GOOD Luck

How do you know it takes 1.5 more years? Did you get your PR decision?

since you applied PR in March 2024 keep in mind until March or April 2026 for yourself why would they issue 2-year wp if they plan to give you in a year or early?

They don’t issue work permits 2 years or 1 year or 6 months because of they will finalize your pr application in that timeframe. Doesn’t matter how long left your pr process they issue usually 2 years.

I don't understand why P1 and P2 for those October and November 2022 PR applicant are being delayed.
