A friend of mine applied in May 2022 as well and they are still waiting without even a sound from ircc and their status has been at 100% since april 2024. I don’t understand what the hold up is to be honest but the agents on the phone are saying it’s the security that is still being processed. Ircc told them they can complain if it hits October and they don’t hear anything about the application by then.

Processing is overwhelmed due to the very large number of asylum claims/protected people. Everything related to asylum, refugees and protected people are overwhelmed. Canada is set up to process a small fraction of claims they are receiving.

I submitted my application for PR, on August 22nd, 2022. The decision was made August 15th, 2024. received the P1 on August 21st, 2024, but nothing has been updated since then. Everything is delayed on my application, and I'm feeling very frustrated.

what is normally the the time between P1 and P2 ? like how long you expect to wait before you get P2 and then ECOPR ?

Applied 2nd of March 2022.
Everything is pending...
Mandamus filed to federal court late March 2024.
All assessments were completed by the 6th of April 2024.
Moved from Quebec 6th of July.
Proof of addresses was sent mid August after they requested it.
Letter of finalizing the application with Final Decision was received on 22th of August.
P1: August 26th.
P2: September 6th.
Ecorp: September 6th.

Total time is 30 months.

Notes:
I have filed two lawsuits against them, Mandamus and civil lawsuit suing for damages. Both will be dropped now, but they were costly.
I respond within minutes of them sending me requests.
My application wasn't moving until i sued for Mandamus.
I was told multiple times inaccurate information about my application, policies and processes by their call centre agents. (They told me i had to wait for Quebec estimated time even though i moved).
