The processing time in quebec became 39 months .
what we have to do to move outside the province

Today i have passed the estimated processing time of 28 months. When i called the IRCC, they told me to continue waiting and no timeline was given. They have been feeding me lies for more than a year.
They have a new timeline for Québec applicants now. Take a look. It’s fun :)

Whats the timeline for quebec as mine has passed 38 months already how much more time we need to wait as punishment to be applied from QC.
You can check on their website. But it’s 39 months now. But you could always move provinces. It’s not where you apply from but where you intend to actually live.

I asked so many times since one year from IRCC agent and my MP as well to move from here but they said you will still be considered as Quebec applicant.

if you kindly have anything which refers that if i change province problem will be solved because i am now very tensed as its already 38 month ls and due to this delay security has been expired so not sure what will happen for security.

thanks in advance

I spolier from Ontario, and moved to Québec later. I’m now considered a Québec applicant. I’d assume the reverse would also be true.

Quebec because you need CSQ thats why you considered quebec but other provinces they do need any special thing they just Federal.

I don’t understand don’t you get a csq as soon as you become a protected person in Quebec ?
If you have the CSQ does it mean that your wait time is 24 months not 39 ?
Someone please clarify

Made a typo, sorry.

I became a Protected person and applied for PR in Ontario. And then I moved to Québec while my PR is still in processing. So my file was transferred to Montréal and IRCC now considers me a Québec applicant. Although originally they considered me an Ontarian one.
I suspect you could just play the sane trick but in reverse.

I’m considered a Québec applicant just because I reside in Québec. Just like I were considered an Ontario applicant when I was living in Ontario.
CSQ is a pre-condition for living in Québec. If one doesn’t intend on living in Québec they don’t need a CSQ.

Oh damn so even with the csq the wait time is still 39 months
Do you know if the new 39 months wait time applies for all applicants or just the new ones
I remember the day it was 12 months then it didn’t stop going up

My friend applied PR in 2021 April and after one year he moved to ottawa and then calgary now address and everything is updated in the file already long time ago but still in gcms notes primary office is CPC Mississauga and secondary office is CPC montreal.

According to IRCC the Québec estimate does include the time needed to obtain the CSQ.

I’m really not sure about who it applies to, since refugees recognized in Canada aren’t really mentioned in the Canada-Québec Accord. While we are in Québec’s immigration levels plan. I’m personally bracing myself for the 40+ months of waiting while saving up for a lawyer. A collective action lawsuit would be nice haha
