Thats good for you. Congrats. But there are some people for almost 1 year waiting after they got pre arrival. I also got pre arrival end of august.

When I got prearrival my lawyer said it was nothing. 3 days later got the portal 1 email. You never know.

My friend from jan 2023 until now more than 40.000 refugess arrived to Canada. Almost same numbers last year. Immigration officers are almost same numbers like 3 years ago. Not many new officers joined. So its normal. Some of us very lucky because their officers just try to finish all file when they start. Other officers of us they open your file do something and they jump to my file do something on this and they continue like this. Sometimes they come back to your file after a year. Unfortunately we should wait.

I know. In this situation its depends on your officers. If they r fast. You are lucky.

Does anyone have idea how this works from IRCC? Thank you. Non-accompanying family members abroad who are included in the initial protected person’s application for permanent residence may apply to an officer outside Canada within one year after the day on which the principal applicant becomes a permanent resident if they so choose. This is possible under the One-year Time Limit (R176).

Getting pre arrival and eligibility means they are working on final decision. Sometimes they finish it in couple days or couple months or over a year. I think it’s depends on your luck. When they r done with final decision they send portal request emails for 2 times and then waiting for ecopr. I hope this helps.

Pre arrival means for applicants who applied out of Canada to come here. But everybody get this update even applicant is already in Canada. Your family members application is moving which is good.
