I called IRCC today also and still no progress. The thing is that he said security completed right now but Security status can be changed anytime. Today is completed but if I call back tmr it could probably change to in progress.

At least they say it is passed, mine is always in Processing
What is your Application number started with? I also applied on July 16.
Being outside of Canada will not affect your application processing. I've been outside the country since December and received updates on my TR-PR, work permit, visitor record, and TRV applications.
Should you receive the portal email, you can go back to Canada ASAP and respond to avoid application delays. If you tell them you're outside Canada, you'll have to notify them when you're back in the country. So I advice you to fly back, respond to the email and finish this process asap
Thank you yeah would return asap that in that case

Hello everyone!
Is it good to call IRCC every week to get updates about the application?
Agents are telling me the same thing every time
I contacted MP and he told me to ask my immigration lawyer but my agent said he cant help me with my questions!

And a little more insight as to what I think is going on at IRCC regarding May versus June/July applicants. Based on reading this forum for over a year and based on the number of applicants in each stream, and when the bulk of them applied, it seems that IRCC divided application processing of streams into different agent groups, offices or teams, because it was likely easier to consistently review each stream separately (e.g. the eligibility & documents needed for IG stream are different from Essential Worker streams).
Numbers from
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/tr-pr-pathway.html
Essential Workers A & B, English_____37,155+_____44%_______(only 7,155 were Healthcare/Stream A)
IG Stream, English___________________40,000+______48%
All French Streams____________________7,022+_______8%
Total__________________________84,177+_____100%
- The bulk of applicants were English and split very evenly between Essential Workers A & B and the IG Stream.
- The bulk of IG applied on May 6 & 7
- The bulk of Essential Workers applied more towards of the end of the cap near June & July and especially near the end date of July 16
- If each stream is being processed by different IRCC areas, and because they are reviewing an almost equal number of applicants 37,000 versus 40,000, and assuming they are processing at approximately an equal (unfortunately slow) rate, it makes sense that the trailing end of IG May 6 & 7 applicants are being processed at the same time as the trailing end of Essential Worker June & July applicants.
- And, of course, based on each individual agents workload, issues within a file, many variations can occur in the exact processing timeline, like a May 7 completing before a May 6, or a July completing before a June.
(The '+' above refers to the fact that each stream had a few more applicants because there was an option to request additional time to apply based on disability issues, etc., and they were allowed 2 weeks to make a request for an extension.)
I know this doesn't make it any less frustrating but I truly hope IRCC gets the TR to PR Pathway fully completed by mid-year!!
Once the TR to PR policy was announced, I knew it would be bogged down, just didn't think it would last 2 years +
That was why I applied via the French stream and via NL province.
Good luck to everyone! I know you will be approved!! Canada needs us.
so May 7th and July 15th applicants got approvals today. No trend whatsoever in their processing of our applications. Congrats though
same province?
Below is my final timeline. I am very relieved that I am done with this process which had a big impact on my life in the last two years.
I really wish that the government put more effort into immigration because it is sad to see the misery we go through during all this process.
For those who are still waiting, please try to distract yourselves as much as possible, I know that the stress can eat you alive but we really don't have a choice... I wish you all the best and I hope they finish processing TR2PR as soon as possible.
Congrats! We had the same stream and you applied months before me. I think the marriage explanation and processing must have prolonged your timeline.
