Dear Amir , Do you mind if I ask you how long it took for your student visa to come from submission time back in 2018 when you applied for Canadian visa for first time ? of course no pressure if you dont want to share for any reason.

It's going to be 4 years for me in Canada this December-Anyone knows how long it takes to get TRV? I am TR2PR applicant with AOR on June 10th( medical passed 24th June last update). I have waited 15months already and now I am thinking I should visit home for a month or two and come back while I wait for TR2PR to process.

Right now, it is taking 1-2 months to get a TRV inside Canada.

Hi guys I need quick help i got GU on Wednesday and after that I called ircc they said everything is passed just officers have to make final decisions. Can you please tell me how long it’s gonna take because i am going back home at end of the year.
I think ircc is testing our patience.

July 8 adr for background history form
July 16 review of documents
Aug 16 medical passed again
Aug 31 security pass(GU)
Sep 28 criminality pass(GU)

Honestly speaking, it depends upon the officer. It can be next week or next month.

Sure, no problem. I applied at Oct, 2017 and I got my approval on Feb, 2018.

Can I expect on weekends??

I have seen people got portal email or eCOPR on weekends but not sure about this one because today (Friday) was holiday for government jobs and they may have taken the weekends as vacation.

It's been over 3 months now and haven't got my OWP yet.

But if we look at your case, it wasn't still that long time from AOR ~ 6 months and less than a year from your initial submission. Most of us applied in May/June. Still haven't heard major updates yet.

My work permit was not approved in that time (fees refunded), my visitor record AND TRV have not been processed in 6 months.

It was still nerve wracking.
