Did anyone received any sort of update for the spouse overseas OWP under TR-PR? I thought they would deal with these differently and faster but I don't know if they might consider this as a dependent WP and process 8 to 10 months?

Hopefully they pace up in Sept.

Another thing is - before they were planning to clear the whole 90k appls by December but later on Minister said moving applications to next year 2024. Too lazy to pull up the link... but if you search CIC new you'll find it.
He gave mulitple TV and radio interviews stating this also. They can be found on youtube. I'll even post the lonks if anyone wants, not that it really makes a difference now, except to show how incompetent he is.

Timelines R Us :cool::
For those of you encouraged by timelines, here are a few recently released on another forum. I have shortened most of them to Application Date, AOR or Linking, PR* (* PR notification of any sort), and estimate of time from AOR/Linking to PR*.

Stream & Application Date -- AOR or Linking -- PR* (* meaning anything 'PR' related like ECOPR, PR email, Portal Request or PR card):
  • IG Stream May 6 -- AOR April 21 -- PR July 19 -- (~3 months)
  • IG Stream May 7 -- AOR Mar 24 -- PR Card July 21 -- (~4 months)
  • Stream B July 1 -- AOR May 26 -- Portal Request July 19 -- (~ 2 months)
  • Stream A Sep 4 -- AOR Jan 26 (followed by 4 ADR's, WOW!!!) -- Portal Request July 19 -- (~5.5 months)
  • IG Stream May 6 -- Linked May 30/AOR June 13 -- PR email July 19 -- (~1.5 months)
Recently Linked/AOR (looks like some automated batching going on here):
  • Stream B July 16 -- AOR July 19
  • Stream B July 15 -- AOR July 19
  • Stream B July 16 -- AOR July 20
  • Stream B July 16 -- AOR July 20
Best wishes!

They are just increasing their backlogs. Not sure what they are going to do with these increasing backlogs. They should hire more people to clear these backlogs otherwise it will just keep on increasing and it will reach a point where they can't even manage these backlogs and process applications properly. On a couple of FB posts, I have already started seeing people receiving PCC request even from countries they have never visited/lived. That's messed up. :eek::confused:
As per motion 44, the minister will also have to release a new program or make any adjustments to existing programs on or before sept, this will also significantly bring in a massive influx of applications.
