Everyone's file is processed in sydney and then it moves to whitehorse for other steps and then it moves to our sconday visa office that is assigned from where we get portals and final decisions.

Hello, I spoke to call center agent and she said mine has already been passed on eligibility and background check on Nov 12 and 16.
She also mentioned no more document request and waiting for the final decision. And it is now in Whitehorse office. It was in Sydeny when they issed an AOR to me.
Is that meaning through my application will be finalized at the Whitehorse department and then transfer to another office to be handling for portal thing?

Please assume my situation. Thank you.

Yes. Nothing changed when I got pr portal email. But it changed today after I got ecopr.

What does the status say when we check it on ircc number ?
Does it say same thing ?
That we received your application and we will update you when your process starts ?
Or is it something else ?

It should be something like "We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you."

I am wondering if anyone has had a similar situation as mine.
I sponsored my wife for PR and today we received the message from IRCC - Confirming your permanent residence online. It seems a simple enough ask but we are currently in the US for a family visit. My wife has a legitimate student visa from Canada and a tourist visa for USA, hence the visit. However, now I am not sure should we just wait till we return back to Canada or declare that we are not in Canada in the reply back email? I just dont want to create any situation that can cause problems for us getting back into Canada and also receiving the PR card? We are going to be away for 4 weeks before returning. And also, as soon as we return, we will be moving houses, so the address will change!

You have to be inside Canada to respond to the portal request. You have 30 days to respond, you can plan your trip accordingly.
But do not declare that you are not present in Canada.

Whitehorse is a local office which is finalizing the PR applications, that means that your application is at its final stage.
I hope you hear good news soon

Did you submit all the paystubs? Can you tell what was specially requested as proof of income?

If you are outside Canada:
If you are currently outside Canada, you cannot be landed using the PR Portal (PR Confirmation). It is important that you let us know by replying to this email. We can then ensure that you have any documents you might need to travel to Canada to become a permanent resident.

One of the requirements of this program is that you have to be inside Canada.

I assume you applied under IG but other programs should have the same general requirements.

To be eligible, you must
- be in Canada
- have valid status in Canada
- plan to live outside of Quebec
- meet or exceed the language requirements
- be currently employed
- have recently graduated from a designated learning institution in Canada and with an eligible credential
- not be a refugee claimant in Canada
