2017 PGP Applicants

Online application status is "We have received your application to XYZ on..." but XYZ is my name instead of applicant. I am confused, as why it shows sponsored person name as sponsor instead of main applicant ? Anyone with similar scenario ..

This is pretty normal. Since you submitted the application, they will address to you.

Processing time for parents still shows Processing Jan 2014 and hasn't moved in a year. This is NOT GOOD. I wonder if there is any consensus here and if people are willing to join forces to write to minister of immigration to consider expediting parents as part of the new Million immigrants to come in as all those waiting for their parents have suffered long wait times:

This is what I have been seeing for long time. There are probably 100 people on this forum who can sign a paper and I would like to volunteer time + anyone else who can help - to send a request to some immigration firms and request their clients (who sponsored parents/grandparents) to make a request as a petition to the minister:

There was a ministerial instruction that stated something like, "The officer is supposed to give higher consideration to Supervisa applicants with an approved or accepted PGP application already in process". This was issued few years back.

There was another instruction that also said that the condition of the country (political and economical) should not affect the the consideration of the officer reviewing Supervisa application.

Can anyone link me to both please?

As long as you have the application number and other details you can link the application. So answer is doesn't matter

Thats normal. you can ask javiya to add to our tracker sheet. there you would find the time lines for others and accordingly you can estimate yours

I believe you submitted your intent to sponsor. You are participating in a lottery. The deadline to submit the intent is February 1st. After that they will remove duplicates, and select the sponsors that will be allowed to submit the application to sponsor. The spreadsheet is with people that submitted the full package, it's after you get selected. Hope it makes sense

I thought the lottery is going to happen after the deadline (January 31).
Do they draw randomly before the deadline?
When can I know my PGP sponsorship intent is approved or rejected?
I applied mid January.

There were 2 rounds of draws in 2017. People who got their spots on the 2nd round was notified early Oct. So they have 90 days to submit their completed applications. Thus some can submit 2017 PGP application in early Jan 2018.
